Incandescent bulbs, cable, microcontroller. Dimensions variable, 5 minute loop.
Two naked bulbs are hanging from the ceiling in a white space, each occupying one side of the room. They go on and off about every 1.5 seconds, while the frequency between them differs by a few milliseconds. This causes the bulbs to continuously fall in and out of sync, repeating the pattern every 5 minutes. The change of light makes the room and its visitors the main focal point, as shadow and light cross the space. It addresses the human desire for synchronicity, as the light keeps on changing its rhythm. A rhythm of biological and technological nature.
